Why Now?
The need to fix maps is urgent. Representation has hit an all time low, and it’s playing out in critical policy decisions in state houses. From passing “bathroom bills” to shutting down women’s health clinics, gerrymandering has allowed states to pursue extreme agendas to the detriment of their citizens. Unless the constitutional principle of “one person, one vote” is fully enforced, we will continue to see unjust outcomes.
Who We Are
Fair Districts Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to overturning gerrymandered district maps at the state legislative level by taking the most egregious offenders to court. We partner with legal experts, data scientists, and academic leaders in the fight for fair maps.
